Texas Hold'em Rules
Objective
Win all of your opponent's chips or have the most chips when the match ends.
Gameplay
- Each player receives 2 hole cards (face down)
- 5 community cards are dealt face up over multiple rounds
- Players make the best 5-card hand using any combination of their hole cards and community cards
- Betting rounds: Pre-flop, Flop (3 cards), Turn (1 card), River (1 card)
Hand Rankings (Highest to Lowest)
- Royal Flush - A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit
- Straight Flush - Five consecutive cards of the same suit
- Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same rank
- Full House - Three of a kind plus a pair
- Flush - Five cards of the same suit
- Straight - Five consecutive cards
- Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same rank
- Two Pair - Two different pairs
- One Pair - Two cards of the same rank
- High Card - Highest card when no other hand is made
Betting Actions
- Fold - Surrender your hand and any chips in the pot
- Check - Pass the action (only if no bet to call)
- Call - Match the current bet
- Raise - Increase the current bet
- All-In - Bet all remaining chips
Match Format
- Starting Chips - Each player begins with the same chip count
- Blinds - Forced bets that rotate each hand
- Blind Schedule - Blinds may increase as the match progresses
- Match ends when one player has all the chips, or when the hand limit is reached (player with most chips wins)
